1. Who we are
Symbos operates symbos.pro, an SVG icon platform. We are based in Baden-Württemberg, Germany and are subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data we collect
Account data
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if using Google Sign-In, your name and profile picture as provided by Google.
Usage data
We collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited and features used to improve the platform. This data does not identify you personally.
Generated content
Icons you generate are stored in your personal library if you choose to save them. We do not use your generated icons to train AI models.
Payment data
Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (Stripe). We do not store full card details.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to provide and improve the service, send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing), and respond to support requests. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your data on the following legal bases: contract performance (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (platform security and improvement), and consent (where explicitly given, e.g. marketing emails).
5. Data retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing info@symbos.pro. We will delete your data within 30 days.
6. Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You have the right to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact info@symbos.pro. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority in Baden-Württemberg: Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
7. Cookies
We use only technically necessary cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Third-party services
We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and hosting. Stripe for payment processing. These providers operate under their own privacy policies and are GDPR-compliant.
9. Data transfers
Your data may be processed on servers outside the EU by our service providers (Firebase/Google, Stripe). These transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses in accordance with GDPR Article 46.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform.
